Jack had his first t-ball practice yesterday evening. He was so excited and apparently has a new favorite sport. Forget about soccer...now it is all about baseball. There are four different teams in his"league." His season consists of three practices and 7 games. The practice went really well yesterday. The coach taught them aspects of the game and showed them how to throw, catch and bat. All the dads were out there helping. I think it was a ratio of 2-1, players to coaches. Jack's favorite part was hitting. He did really well!!! I thought the camera would be a bit distracting at practice, so these pictures were taken of Jack before we left. Such a cute little baseball player! Lauren loved going to practice as well. She ran all over the place, wanted to help daddy "coach," and cheered on her brother. Every so often during practice, Jack would run over to Lauren to give her a hug. Those kiddos have such a great relationship. It really is amazing how well they get along and encourage one another to do well.Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Our Trip to Eugene
While Jason went on Todd's weekend away, the kids and I went to Eugene. The weather was great and the kids had so much fun being spoiled by Nana, Papa, Uncle Jeff AND Auntie Amy.Tuesday, April 13, 2010
Ballet
Lauren had ballet class this morning and I finally took pictures and video of it. (Thanks to Lisa for the idea.) I have been telling everyone how cute Lauren is in her class and now you can see it!
The first video is of Lauren warming up. The second is her "flying like a bee" for part of her recital. And, the third, is the last part of her recital routine. So cute. Please excuse the moms in the background talking and Jack's leapster video game.

A Couple of Fun Days!
The Schreibers came over last night for dinner. It was great to see the kids play together so well. They even let us eat dinner in peace...with a promise of ice cream dessert if they stayed upstairs and played nicely together. Whatever works, right?
Introducing Batgirl, Batman and Super Minnie.

Easter!!!
Happy Easter! Wow, what a fun-filled day we had. It started bright and early at 6:00 when Jack and Lauren woke up to see if the Easter bunny had come. The Easter bunny was running a bit late as I don't think he expected the little ones up quite that early...but, after some distraction, we all headed downstairs to see what the Easter bunny had left.
The first few pictures are some of us right before we headed to Mass with Jason's family.

Oops, I forgot to get a family picture of us this year on Easter. Bummer!!!
Two days before Easter, the kiddos dyed their Easter eggs.

Easter morning, Jack found the first hidden egg.

Lauren found one!
The Easter bunny hid some in hard to reach places!

6:30 and eating her first piece of candy of the day. Can you say sugar high???
Yum! And, please take note, it is still DARK outside and Jack is eating candy. Lovely!
After Mass, we headed to the Redings for brunch.
Jane and John did this really cute "Easter hunt" for the kids. Presents were hidden throughout her house and picture clues were laid out to help the kids find their next gift. What a great idea! Jack and Lauren had so much fun with this. They loved their gifts and finding them as well.

Uncle Adam and Lauren having a few laughs while playing.
