Palm Desert

Here are the rest of the pictures from our trip. I already miss the sunshine...what is going on with all this rain the last few days??? I guess I can't complain. I have had more sunshine this winter than ever before. Lauren ready for take-off. She looks so little in the seat.
The first two days of our visit were spent in the pool. Jack and Lauren are so independent with their water wings. Time for swim lessons! I can't wait until they can swim around without the wings.

Liese in the pool.
We went to the Palm Desert's Zoo called "The Living Desert." Jack's favorite part was reading the map and telling us exactly where to go. He would say, "Sorry Mom, I just have to check the map to find out where to go."
Jack and the camel.
Three giraffes that ate right out of our hands. Cool! (The kids just watched Jason and I feed them. They weren't so sure about their long black tongues.)
Can you see the tongue????
Who wants a ride???
Lauren wearing her new Belle shirt from Disneyland.
Jack picked out this lion to ride on at the zoo.
It looks like Lauren is modeling in this picture...what is going on with her legs crossed and hand on the cat???
Cute little ones...
What a great trip we had!! The kids are at such a good traveling age. Finally!!!! They did awesome on the plane, slept well and were flexible with their schedule.

Goofy's Breakfast

The morning after Disneyland, we went to Goofy's Breakfast in the Disney Hotel. Wow, the kids had a great time visiting with all the characters.Meeting Jasmine.
Posing with Goofy!!!
Jasmine

Lauren meeting Goofy.
Chip was Lauren's favorite.
Goofy came over to give Jack a shaker, so he could help "cook" with the other older children. Goofy was so nice to do this, as he left all the others to encourage Jack to join in on the fun. Of course, Jack loved this and was so happy to help Goofy "cook."
Pluto and Jack playing. Lauren also enjoyed Pluto and told us Pluto was her favorite.
A walk after breakfast.
The three little ones right before we left.
Lauren got a stuffed Pluto dog and wouldn't put him down.
One last family picture before heading back to the desert.

Disneyland!!!

We just got back from a great trip to California. We flew into Palm Springs, spent time there playing in the sun, and we went on an over night trip to Disneyland. These are just the pictures from our one day in Disneyland. It was an amazing trip. What fun seeing the kids have so much fun. Enjoy the pictures!!! There are TONS---shocking, I know. =)Jack and Liese just in the gates.
Outside our first ride...It's a Small World.

The Schappachers
Who knew that the ride, It's a Small World would be scary. HA! It took Lauren just one ride to warm up at Disneyland. After this ride...she loved it!
Waiting in line for the "car" ride...I can't remember what it is called. This was one of Jack's favorites. Lauren enjoyed it as well!
Jack's favorite ride was this Buzz Lightyear ride. You use the guns to shoot at targets. Jason, Tom and Lauren were in one car and Jack and I were in another.
Jack driving the car. He claims that he didn't hit the curb the entire time. Jason just laughed when he heard that comment!
Lauren drove me around. Pretty good driving for a two year old.
Jack and Melissa waiting in line for Thunder Mountain. This was Jack's favorite out of the "scary" rides.

Jason and Jack outside of Splash Mountain. Jack thought this one was VERY scary. =)
While "the boys" went on Splash Mountain. The "girls" said hi to Tigger! Lauren loved all the characters.

Snack time!! We all needed to rest our legs at this point. Jack was having so much fun, he looked at Jason and said, "I can't believe this day. It just keeps going on and on." Yeah, he loved it!

Waiting in line for our last ride of the day, Dumbo.
Dumbo was Lauren's favorite ride!
Liese liked it too.

It is the "Happiest Place on Earth."
You betcha'...I bought the kids Mickey hats. Kinda dorky, but I couldn't deny them. HA!

After we got the hats, we watched a bit of the street parade. The kids loved it and waved to everyone. It was amazing how great they did all day. 7 plus hours at Disneyland, no nap and lots of excitement, but they held it together and behaved well ALL day! It was perfect.

And when we made it back to the hotel...they crashed! They fell asleep about two seconds after their little heads hit the pillow. What a fun memorable day!

Thank goodness we only went one day....can you imagine all the pictures I would have posted if we spend several days at Disneyland???
