Happy Birthday to Jason!

It is Jason's birthday today and we are all excited to celebrate! Last week, I asked Jack what he wanted to get his daddy for his bday. After a few minutes of careful consideration, Jack came up with a brilliant idea. He wanted to give Jason a bubble bath!!! Oh boy, I couldn't wait to tell Jason and see his reaction. What a crack up that would have been to see Jason in a tub getting a bubble bath from Jack! I WISH I could have witnessed that as Jason's birthday present, BUT somehow, after Jack and Jason talked about it, Jack decided on something else. I think Jason somehow convinced him that a bubble bath would NOT be his ideal present. Darn!!!! So instead, Jack thought that Jason would like some balloons. And, off to Party City we went this morning.

Here are the kids getting ready to celebrate Jason's bday. Speaking of celebrations, Jason and I are heading out to a cooking class tonight for his bday. We will watch the chef cook, have a some vino and then eat what was prepared for us. It should be tons of fun. The only problem is that Jack doesn't understand why we aren't going to Red Robin tonight so they can "sing to Daddy." Maybe next year Jack....if you can talk your daddy into that plan!

The kids had the best time playing with the balloons before naptime. Jackson was literally "walking" Lauren around the house. They both thought it was great.

Again, Happy Birthday to Jason! He is the best husband anyone could imagine AND an amazing father. How did the kids and I get so lucky?? We love you, Jase!

Dressing up~

I don't know what has gotten into Jack and Lauren. Last night and this morning they have had the best time dressing up. I have their Halloween costumes and a few other things in a bin in the playroom. Until yesterday, they have ignored that bin....but, once Lauren got into it they haven't been able to put it away. They were so cute trying everything on and sharing!! Yes, the sunglasses were a big hit and they both let the other one put the glasses on for a while. (Thank goodness, I finally found the other pair downstairs...just in case one of them decides sharing is too difficult.)
I think Jack is going to kill me one day for posting these pictures.

What a COOL princess she is!

So, what is he??? A really cool construction worker with a pirate fetish??

Here is Mr. Party Pirate Man!

Here is a video of our party pirate man. He is trying to be really tough. I hope your aren't too scared by this pirate. =)

Jack's FINAL bday party---take five

Jack and Emily had their birthday party on Sunday and we all had the BEST time. They are exactly 2 weeks apart. Emily turns three on the 30th, so we split the difference and had the party in between each birthday. It was wonderful. What a turn out we had! The laughter we heard from all the kids was music to my ears. I know that there are tons of pictures, but I had to share them. They capture the bday party perfectly.

The lady and gentleman of the hour...Emily and Jack.

The cake table...Jack had a soccer cake and Emily had a Tinkerbell cake.

Three years old is so much fun.

Having fun with friends eating pizza for lunch.

Look at how much fun Lauren is having on Jason's lap. She was ALL smiles during the party.
This was cracking me up. Jack was getting Emily's hat with his little party favor.

Good buddies, Caden and Jack. They take soccer class on Fridays together and play so well together.

Blowing out the candles.

Teri took over Mommy duty for me and fed Lauren her bday cake while Geoff fed Alexa.

Nice teeth...he ate every last bite, as you can tell.

A random shot of our party room.
Looks like little Claire enjoyed the cake too.

Jack made a new friend at his party. Here are Brett and Jack. Brett is one of the Kleps' neighbors.
Lauren ready to go with her party gear.
After lunch and cake, we all headed to the gym for some playtime. Here is parachute time. The kids seemed to enjoy this part.

Jack was as happy as I have ever seen him at his party. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face, even if he tried.

Lauren and Alexa driving the car together. Just imagine the two of them in 15 years actually operating a REAL car. That's a little scary.

Lauren driving by herself.

Check out Alexa's little diva birthday outfit. Love the animal print.
Lauren loves playing with balls. She took the basketball from the other side of the gym and was throwing it around everywhere.

Jack and Brett getting a wagon ride. The kids got balloon animals made and were able to take them home as party favors.

We attempted to get a group shot of all the kids. Yea, that didn't go over very well. Here are half of the kids from the party.
Here is another one. Emily and Lauren had ENOUGH of the pictures by this point. =)
They also had mats set up in the gym for the kids to climb on. Here is Jack jumping off of the mat. Nice action shot!

Here is Lauren after the party. She was wiped out....
What a great afternoon we had yesterday. Tons of fun memories with our friends. Can't wait till next year's party!

Our day...

We had a very busy day today...Jack had school and Lauren and I ran errands while he was there. We came home ate lunch, they had a 45 minute nap, and I had to wake them up so we could take Lauren for a check-up with her kidney dr. After that, we were finally were able to come home and play a bit before we went out again to find Jack shin guards for his soccer class tomorrow. Then we came home had baths and then to bed. Wow, what a hectic day!!!! I was able to get a few (actually a lot) of good pics of the kids today. This picture was from yesterday. The kids loved hanging out in coat closet...this may be bad, but they were in there for about 10 minutes playing with the door closed....by themselves! =0 As long as I heard squeals and laughter, I knew they were doing great.
Jack playing in the play room. What a cute pic this is.

Check out the swing set that Jack and I made out of his Fiddlestix...thank goodness for the directions, there is no way I could have figured that out on my own.
Lauren loves exploring these days. She kept going from her room to the playroom checking everything from books to toys out.
I can't get over how blonde her hair is and how blue her eyes are. LOVE IT!!!

Each night Jason gives the kids a bath. I finally remembered to get my camera and snap a few pictures of them playing tonight.

Jack really enjoys the water and always is laughing during bathtime.
He also is really into dunking his face in the water and holding his breath. I am going to get him into swim lessons this spring, so he will be ready for the pool this summer.

This is Lauren's spot in the tub. She insists on being by the faucet while the water pours out. Jack is so sweet and is always in the back of the tub. He is a great big bro.

Laughing together in the tub.

Jack roaring and Lauren laughing at him.

Lauren playing with the water.
Jack laid back in the water. He likes putting his ears under the water. He thinks it is his cool trick.
