Fishing and some randoms

Jane, John, the kiddos and I went fishing this morning. Jack and Lauren loved catching fish! We caught four in all...now let's see if they eat the fish or not.Lauren loved her fishing pole...pink and just Lauren's size. Perfect!

Walking to the lake.
First time fishing for Lauren.

Lauren's first fish.
Lauren's favorite part was getting the worms out so Grandpa could put the bait on. See maybe she isn't the girlie girl I think she is.

Jack caught this fish. Grandpa wanted him to touch it, but he said no way!

The 4th of July

Most of the time when my dad sees Jack and Lauren, he takes them on an "adventure." Usually, the adventure is to a park or for a bike ride. On the morning of the 4th, Papa and Nana told Jack and Lauren they were going on a very special "adventure." My jaw dropped when they came back from their adventure with ALL of these fireworks. There were TONS of them and the kiddos loved each one! It is going to be tough to beat this adventure, as this was their favorite one to date!
Then they had to take each one out to inspect them.

Since there were so many fireworks, we started the little ones when it was still light out. Lauren liked watching them from the step.

Picking out his favorites with uncle Jeff.

Jack liked watching them from the grass at first...

As the night went on, Jack got closer to them, to get a better view.

3rd of July Parade and playing with Baby Bennett

On Friday, we got to play with my good friend Stacy's little boy Bennett while she was at a Bridal Luncheon. We had SO much fun. The kids loved every minute of it. B is so cute and has the best personality.

Bennett loved Jason and wanted to cuddle up with him after his nap.

Sat., we met the Schreibers for the 4th of July parade. Aren't the kiddos looking so cute??

Auntie Amy, Todd and Nana joined us for the parade as well.
Alexa was loving on Jack..giving him hugs and all. Too cute.

"Mommy, look! The horsies are coming!"
Jack enjoyed waving around Alexa's flag.
Jason said this was the best time he has ever had at the parade. He was watching it while drinking some beer with Geoff and Todd.
Lauren turned her bag of candy into an accessory.
