Charlie turns one!!!!

Happy first birthday to our sweet Charlie!! He has been such a great baby! At 21 lbs. 12 oz (25%) and 31 inches (90%) he is a happy healthy little boy. He LOVES his siblings and always wants to be around them. They are so good to him. Charlie laughs easily and enjoys being on the move. He took his first steps at 11 and a half months and is now walking as much as crawling. He is so proud of himself. He is so excited for the weather to change. He likes being outside and riding the Gator. Charlie is a stubborn little guy and we never have to guess if he is happy or not. He lets us know that!!! I am so excited he has hit the one year milestone and can't wait to see what this year has to offer him. We love him so much and are happy he completes our family.

Below are a bunch of random pictures of Charlie throughout the last month. They are all out of order, but I think these will give you a good idea of what he has been up t o.

I can't leave him alone for even a minute these days. He made a mess of the noodles and likes getting into cupboards and the fridge.
Loves J and L.
Opening presents.
Showing us he is one on this bday.
Enjoying a cupcake
We were trying to play Wii bowling the other night and Charlie liked to get away of our game. He just can't wait to join in on all the fun.
He loves getting into the pantry too.
Such a happy little man

Celebraing his bday with Nana and Papa.

Silly pic!!
Cupcake!!
Riding the Gator with Lauren....

Getting ready for his bday dessert at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

He began by digging in with his hands, but then he decided to just stuff his entire face int he cake. The cake was so cute! Good job Jane!
Having fun driving the car!
Video of Charlie walking. It is funny to watch this now. After just a week and a half, he is doing so much better.
Another thing Charlie loves to play with is a ball. he will throw it and chase it. He will throw anything he gets his hands on. It is so much fun. The other video is Jack taking Charlie on a ride in the backyard.

Timbers!

My sister gave us three tickets to the Timbers game. Jason took J and L early so they could look around and watch the players warm up. Both loved the game, the cheers and watching them win!!! Jack couldn't beleive it when the goalie pushed the other player at the end of the game. He told us, "I don't like the other teams goalie. He shouldn't have pushed him and should have gotten a yellow card." We all know how much Jack like to follow the rules!

Jack used his new scarf to keep his ears warm during the game.

Skiing!

We took a mini family vacation up to mt. hood so the kiddos could ski. Lauren couldn't wait as this was her first time. Charlie and I went up to watch for a bit and then went back home. Jason skied with Jack and Lauren was in a lesson. The lesson didn't go so well and we took Lauren out after just an hour. She was having a hard time and was tired. Other than the lesson, skiing was a success. Jack did great and now is ready to learn how to turn. Lauren said she is exited to try it again when she "is five."
Getting ready
Aren't they so cute in their ski gear?
Walking up to get started.
Little Lauren ready to go.
Charlie was such a trooper. It was cold and really windy!!! He lasted a little over an hour until he "told" me he was DONE. I was so excited to have a chance to watch J and L in action. They both did such a great job.

Lunch time!
Charlie and I left after lunch. J and L couldn't believe they saw their good friends on the mountain skiing as well.
Heading up the hill.
Dinner at Timberline. I am so glad that Charlie is older. It make trips like this one so much easier. Jason and I couldn't believe how much we all enjoyed the trip.
Here are vidoes of each skiing. Please excuse my LOUD voice. One time I forgot to turn off the video. Ooops.

Jack

Jack has had some fun outings recently. He and Jason went to the Winterhawks game with some friends. Jack loved watching the players bash into the glass. He also loved all the rock music!
Jack has been playing a lot of bball lately. Man this guy has some hops! Check out his slam dunk! =) I see the NBA in his future....
I just had to add this one...crazy kids.

Lauren's reading!

Lauren has been watching Jack read and read. She has been begging me to read. So, we finally started. She loves it and was excited for me to video her in action. Way to go Lauren!!! I hope your love for reading continues for years to come.

Valentine's Day!

J & L were excited for Valentine's Day. They loved making their valentines and picking out a piece of candy to put on each.
Hard at work
Poor Jack had a fever on Valentine's Day, had to miss school and, most importantly, his party. He was bummed out. So, we had a Valentine's Party at home instead. We did some crafts, decorated cookies and opened his Valentines. (I don't think J's teacher was too thrilled when I tracked her down at school during her lunch break to get all of Jack's valentines.) I didn't care though....he was so excited to open them at home!
