Naptime????

I put Lauren down a bit early today for naps, because we have plans this afternoon. After nearly 30 minutes of hearing noises from her room, I walked in to see what she had been doing. Caught you, Lauren! Here is her expression when I came into her room. I love it...she is like, "Oh no! Mom knows I am not taking a nap!"
*Please notice all the toys by her bed. Those were not out when I put her down.*
"Lauren what do you have under your covers?"
*Again, check out how busy she has been. Jason and I thought that kitchen was never used. She doesn't want to play with it with me, because apparently she spends her "naptime" playing with it.*

"That's what I thought."

I showed Jack these pictures of Lauren and his mouth dropped. He said, "Mommy, I would NEVER get out of my bed when I wasn't supposed to." And that is true...Jack never got out of his bed to play during naps. Ah, the rule-following first child compared to the rebellious second child.

After a little coaxing, Lauren is now sleeping. Thank goodness for video monitors. Now, I will be spying (oh, I mean checking) on her a lot more!
Man, I love that little girl!!!!

Craft Day

Once a month, a group of us get our little ones together for craft day. It was our turn to host and we did an Easter-themed craft and egg hunt. It was so much fun watching the kids work on their Easter bunnies. There was lots of glue and colorful bunnies at the end of the craft. After lunch, we had a little Easter egg hunt. I loved watching the kiddos run around trying to find their eggs. So cute!!! There are tons of pictures... Shocking, I know. =)Before our guests arrived.
Doing the craft.

Some of the group....Phia, Emma, Jack, Ethan, Grant and Lauren (who is pulling out the ribbon in her hair.)
The entire group!
Some are happy to get their picture taken and some AREN'T!!! I don't blame him, who wants to sit when he could be playing.
Sweet little Amelia.
Cute as can be, Sophia.
Hunting for his eggs with Mommy.

Looks like he eyed one.
Emma showing us her eggs.
Jack and Ethan looking for more eggs.

Grant showing his Mommy the egg he found.
What did you find, Lauren??
So excited!
Grant has another one! I think Grant is the BIGGEST OSU fan ever. Not only is he wearing the jersey, but the bunny he created earlier was orange and black as well. Your parents must be so proud!!! (Both are OSU alumni)
After the eggs were found, everyone had to check what was inside their eggs. Lots of candy and stickers were found.
Cute little girls only a few months apart in age.
It is so fun to watch Lauren participate in these activities now. Last year she was so young, she didn't really get it. But now, she is able to truly enjoy all the holiday fun.
What a fun morning we had!

A trip to the zoo!

On Monday, we went to the zoo. It was so nice. We got there at 9:30 before the big Spring Break crowd. The animals, especially the polar bear, put on a great performance.
The lions came right up to say hi to us.

Grandpa made a wish and blew out his birthday candle AND he got what exactly what he wished for...HAIR!!!

Opening his present

Playing dominos.
Helping Grandpa blow out his candle...and yes, we had to take Lauren's shirt off, so she didn't get chocolate all over it.

Go Zags!!

It's March Madness time! We are cheering on our Gonzaga Bulldogs!! It looks like they need all the help they can get, as at halftime they are down BIG against Syracuse.

Amy's Wedding Shower

Amy had her wedding shower on Sat. which was so much fun!! We are all so happy for Amy and Todd, and we were excited to celebrate!!
Sue, the hostess, and Amy

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

I hope you didn't forget to wear your green today. We started our day with green pancakes and the kids are now decked out in their green attire. They are having so much fun celebrating St. Patty's Day, even though they have no idea why or what St. Patrick's Day is all about...actually, come to think of it, I don't remember either. HA!!!!

Silly picture!! Of course, their favorite!

When I was downloading the pictures from this morning, I came across the pictures posted below. I caught them one day watching a show like this. I had to capture it on film...they get along so well for being siblings. Jack is so protective of Lauren and she always keeps him on his toes and laughing. Too cute!
