The past few weeks

The past few weeks have been busy and eventful. Jack and Lauren loved getting their Halloween costumes. They have been wearing them around the house a lot and can't wait to go trick-or-treating in a few weeks. Charlie is wearing Jack's old costume...a beaver! Here is a preview of Halloween.
The cutest little beaver ever.

Darth Vader!

Minnie Mouse.

Jack had his friend spend the night at our house. This was the first time Jack had a friend stay over. They were asleep before 10:00! I was impressed...they fell right to sleep without any issues.

My happy baby.

Jack still is enjoying soccer!

Here are his two biggest fans.

Last weekend, Charlie started standing on his own! This only lasts about five seconds, but he is getting his balance and trying to stand for longer periods of time.

Holding the light saber while standing.

Pumpkin Patch

The kiddos and I went to the pumpkin patch this afternoon. It was 70 degrees and a perfect day to be outside. Life is so busy now with Jack in full day school. I am disappointed this is just our first trip. The kids were so excited to go, play, pick out pumpkins and have fun! This is the best picture I could get today. Charlie was too distracted to look at the camera for long. Jack and Lauren did a great job of being patient so I could get a shot with Charlie looking.
A cute one at the start of the corn maze. Do you notice Jack's hands?? He was a little nervous about getting lost in the maze. When Jack is anxious he puts his hands together...something he has done since he was a toddler.

On the other hand, Lauren wasn't nervous. She said, "Jack, of course we will find our way out!"

Heading down the slide.

Little Charlie

Who wants to go on a hay ride?? Lauren raised her hand when the group was asked that question. She was so brave and sat on the other side of the rest of us. It was bumpy but she loved it!

Jack enjoyed it as well. He liked watching the "cannons" go off...little pumpkins were thrusted into the air. Jack thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Charlie and I on the hayride. What a camera man Jack is!

Pumpkin bowling. Please notice Lauren's hot pink pants. She LOVES them and always wants to wear them, when a dress isn't an option.

Lauren's turn on the obstacle course.

Rubber duck races. Jack barely beat Lauren.

Charlie did great at the pumpkin patch. I even had to wake him from his nap, but he was so happy. People would constantly stop me and tell me how cute and smiley he was.

No way! Charlie is 7 months!!!

My big boy is seven months today! He put on a lot of weight this month and is 18lbs 14oz. (64%) I am using more formula and he LOVES his baby food, so I am sure that contributed to his huge weight gain. He is 28 inches long (90%). Charlie is still talking a lot and loves to laugh. His favorite activity is watching and playing with Jack and Lauren. He never wants to miss a moment. Not much cuddle time anymore! He had his first cold and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for two nights!! Charlie loves to stand while playing and is motivated to start moving. I am really appreciating the time he spends sitting and playing, because I think that will change shortly. As you will see in the below pictures, he wants to crawl. He can get on all fours and rock back and forth. He hasn't figured out how to move yet and gets frusterated when he gets "stuck" in the crawling position.
Get the toy Charlie!

From the sitting position to the crawling one.

Help me Mommy!

We went to Jason's great uncle Gene's funeral today. Charlie was so cute in his little outfit. Check out Charlie! He is standing all by himself! His little bum is resting a bit on the back of the chair, but he is getting much better with his balance!

Isn't Lauren looking so old these days? Can't believe she will be four next month?!?
