Ballet!!

I was so proud of Lauren on her ballet recital day. She did such an amazing job up on the stage in front of everyone. She loved her tap routine and all the friends she made in her class.

Giddy-up at the Sisters Rodeo

What a great weekend at Black Butte. We went over to go to the rodeo and enjoy some biking riding, swimming, baseball playing and feeding the chipmunks. All three kiddos were spoiled rotten with attention from the entire family. What fun!Lucky little chipmunk.

The zoo

The three kiddos and I went to the zoo today. It was Charlie's first trip and he loved it! I couldn't believe how crowded it was. There were tons of field trips and a bunch of randoms there. I never knew that middle school kids took field trips to the zoo?!?! I know I am going to sound so much like a old mom, but I was so tired of hearing their horrible language. I couldn't believe that Jack and Lauren didn't say anything to me...they were clueless, thank goodness.

I had the stroller, so I would hang back a bit and tell Jack and Lauren to run up to the window to check out the animal exhibit. This is classic, Lauren would run up to see the animals immediately. And Jack would hold on to his hands (a nervous habit) look at me. I would tell him to go and then he would finally walk up and stand next to Lauren. It was crowded and that is why he was so unsure, but it was so funny that Lauren didn't care and Jack did. I love their different personalities.

Oh Charlie, when are you going to realize your tongue is supposed to be in your mouth?

Melissa and Liese

Melissa and Liese drove down from Seattle yesterday to meet Charlie and see Jack and Lauren. We always love their visits and although, there trip was short and sweet, (they left today) we all had a great time catching up.The three amigos. Liese is two and a half and I was so proud of Jack for playing so nicely with the younger girls. He was so sweet.
Dancing to Yo Gabba Gabba. Have you ever seen this show? It is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

Silly

Liese and Charlie this morning. Liese is going to be a great big sister in September when her brother arrives! Can't wait!!

Seaside!

We headed to Seaside on Sunday. It wasn't nearly as nice as it was in Portland, but Jason and I knew the kids would have a great time running around on the beach. I don't think either of us thought the kids would have as much fun as they did. We had to drag them off the beach. Jack wanted to stay until is was dark! We left the house before 10 AM and got back at 8:30. It was a great memorable day with our family. Charlie was a great traveler. He was happy all day, except when we took him on the beach. The wind scared him. He hated it. So, Jason and I took turns with Charlie while the other was on the beach with Jack and Lauren. Obviously, it wasn't ideal, but it worked out just fine.
Playing in the arcade.
Check out Lauren's face in the above picture. I am trying to talk her into riding the tilt-a-whirl. She said it looked scary, but I KNEW she would love it if she gave it a try. So after a while she finally gave in.

She is getting ready for her ride.
Can you tell she is a little nervous? This is right before the ride started. Below is the video I took while they were on the ride. It really whipped them around. (Jason felt sick for several hours after the ride.) But guess who begged us to go on it again?? Yup, Lauren. She loved it! Jack had a great time as well!

Lunchtime

Digging to make a sand castle.

This picture was taken moments before Charlie decided he hated the wind.

Lauren spent most of her time making her garden. She spent hours on it and the entire time it looked like this. Yes, you are seeing this correctly. Just little hand prints in the sand.

Jack LOVED the water. He would have gone swimming if I would have let him. The ocean make me a bit nervous, so I only let him go in up to his hips.

Love her.

We stopped at Camp 18 for dinner on our way home.

Messy boy....

Last Saturday was a beautiful sunny day. The kiddos started playing with the hose. They made this HUGE mud puddle and started running through it. You should have seen the mud. Jason and I actually encouraged Jack to do this, because he HATES getting dirty. When he was finished playing, he told us to wash him right away. Oh, I love my clean little boy!

Look who's three months!

Charlie is three months old and happier than ever. He is a real Mama's boy and prefers to be held by yours truly. He also loves his Daddy and he always gives him a big smile when he walks in from work. At three months, Charlie weights 14.2 lbs and is 25 1/4 inches. Yes, a big boy. We are used to that. His height and weight are similar to Jack's at three months.

What a great day!

Three happy kiddos
What a great day it was! Lauren and I met Jane, Michelle, Liz and Marlene for lunch and pedicures while John watched Jack and Charlie. Oh boy...Grandpa gets the all star award today as he got to deal with fussy Charlie. But Jack told me, "Mom, Grandpa did pretty good with Charlie...even when he was crying. Really Mom." Well, thanks for the update Jack. =)
Lauren felt so special being part of the "girls" afternoon and can't wait for her next pedi. Thanks Jane for a wonderful afternoon!

Just six weeks until Calen arrives!
