Father's Day Weekend!!!

World's Best Dad!

What a great weekend we had....all about family!!!! It all started on Saturday, when Jason finished our deck. Jackson was such a little helper and loves watching his Daddy work. It is so cute, he copies him and wants to do everything Jason does. On Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day. Jack was so excited to celebrate his Daddy. He looks up to Jason and really wants to be just like Daddy. Lauren is obviously too young to understand, but you should see her eyes light up when Jason walks in the room. She is always so excited to see him! The kids are so lucky to have Jason as a dad. He is the best!!! Here are TONS of pictures from our great weekend!

This is Sat. when Jason was working on our deck, and Jackson just helped himself up to the table and put our umbrella up, because "it was sunny in his eyes."Our little stud!
Helping Daddy with the deck. Jason would ask him to hand him a nail and he would tell him "No Daddy, you need LOTS of nails." Then he would proceed to give him a handful of nails.

Eating lunch on the saw horse.

Still eating...he thought it was so funny having lunch outside on "daddy's bench."
Having a popsicle after lunch on his new lawn chair. Look at Mav....just waiting for a piece to drop.
Lauren had to get her chair so she could sit by Jack. They were having so much fun hanging out in the sun on Sat.

SUNDAY
About a week ago, I asked Jack what he wanted to get Daddy for Father's Day. After thinking about it for a few seconds, he came up with his list of things....

Balloons, a coffee (we bring Starbucks to Jason at least once a week at work) and a fruit leather (one of Jack's favorite snacks)I thought it was so cute that Jack came up with this idea, that I knew I would have to make sure it all happened. Last Friday, we went to the store and bought a package of balloons and one that said Happy Father's Day. I told Jack not to tell Daddy about the balloons until Sunday. Well, that lasted about two minutes. Jason came home from work on Friday and Jack told him that he had to show him his balloons. Jack was just beside himself, because he wanted to give daddy his balloon present on Friday. Friday night, we blew up a few balloons for Jack...if we didn't I think he would have had a meltdown. Sat. during naptime time, I blew up the rest of the balloons (25 in total...what was I thinking? I should have bought the package of 10) I hid all the balloons in the coat closet. Sunday morning, Jason was instructed to stay in bed until Jack and Lauren got him up. (no complaints from Daddy =)

Here are pictures of Jack decorating for daddy. He was SO excited!!!! Jack is in the closet getting all the balloons out to decorate.

Below are pictures of the room decorated. Jack was so proud of himself. As you can see, he placed all the balloons himself. They are all about two feet from the ground. This picture shows the balloons, starbucks coffee and fruit leather (it is hard to see, but it is there) A perfect gift in a two year old's eyes.

First thing in the morning on Father's Day~
Right before church...isn't Lauren so cute? She is perfect!!!

After naps, we headed to the park. Another good idea from Jack....he told us that Daddy would like to go to the park. =)

Daddy's little girl!!!

Lauren had a great time at the park watching Jackson and being outside.
Next year, we will be asking Lauren what Daddy wants for Father's Day. I can't wait to see what ideas she will come up with!!!
