Wrapping a present

Two rolls of tape later, the kids finally have their Grandpa's birthday present wrapped.

Over a week has past being stuck inside our house. The kids have double ear infections and bronchitis (Jack) and pneumonia/UTI (Lauren). The poor kiddos are finally feeling a bit better, but having to entertain them this entire time has required some creativity on my part. So, this morning, I thought I would let the kids wrap a present entirely on their own...this took up 30 minutes of our morning...mission accomplished! Any activity the kids enjoy that passes time has been a welcome blessing this week.

I am just thankful they are now feeling better and the sunshine will be out tomorrow. Maybe we can get out of the house and hit the park for a while. YAY!Lauren had no clue where to put the tape while wrapping the present. She just wanted to put tape anywhere on the paper. Fine by me! Jack handled putting the tape in the places that would actually keep the paper around the box.

And here it is all finished. Great job!!

That's too funny! I'm afraid to admit the OCD part of me would have a really tough time leaving Ethan and Amelia alone to do that- the tape wouldn't be perfectly straight. :) Good for you!
