What a great evening it was for us as we carved our pumpkins! Both Jack and Lauren loved it and were each able to carve two pumpkins this year. I was so impressed with Jack, he did it all....cut the top off of the pumpkin, got the "guts" out (after Jason scraped the sides for him), he drew the picture of his jack-o-lantern and then he carved almost the entire thing on his own. (I just had to help with the last little bit of the mouth, because his hand was tired. And, I don't blame him...he used all his might just to carve out each piece.)
Jack insisted on doing it on his own.
"Mommy, I am NOT putting my hand in there!"

That's the spirit Lauren.
His jack-o-lantern...Jack wanted both pumpkins to be SCARY!
And, Lauren insisted on making HAPPY jack-o-lanterns. She drew her face all by herself.
