The last week of fun...

The last week or so has been fun and busy. We are finally finished decorating the house and have been busy dancing to Christmas music and reading Christmas stories everyday. The kiddos are so excited for Christmas. It is so fun for Jason and I to watch them take in each Christmas moment. Jack told Jason he was going to help him put up Christmas lights, but....
instead he preferred just running around outside and having me chase him. Oh, the energy of a soon to be five year old. Being couped up in the house has been hard for Jack as all he wants to do is be outside running. Thank goodness for soccer and for Jason taking him outside when he gets home to "work" in the yard.

We had friends over for the big Civil War game. Here are Ellie and Josh.

And the rest of the kiddos...alexa, emily, maren jack (luke hiding behind jack) and lauren. The kids played great and the adults got to socialize and watch the game. What a treat! It is hard to imagine how big the kiddos are now. Seems like yesterday when we were holding them in our arms.
Is it going to rain or not??? That was the big question two nights ago when we decided to head to the Zoo Lights. Jason had a great call and told us we were going. Yeah, that made the kids day! We bundled up and had a great time checking out the zoo lights and riding the train...oh and guess what? Not one drop of rain was felt on us all night!

Lauren loved her pink hat...already into the accessories...got to love it.
Jack was really into the lights this year. He would try to be the first one to point out each new animal he would see. He is just a wee-bit competitive...everything is a game and he wants to WIN or be first at all times.

All-aboard!
It is really lovely....I can barely zip up my coat anymore. Oh darn, I guess I will have to stay indoors the entire winter if I don't have a coat that fits. =)
Lauren enjoyed riding on Jason's shoulders.
Please listen to what Jason I and heard the entire way to the zoo lights. If that doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, I don't know what will...
