What a fun day we had yesterday. Jack and Lauren had haircuts...jack got a new style. He has wanted his hair "spikey" for a long time and I finally gave in. It actually looks really cute. He looks about five years older too! Lauren got her hair trimmed and Michelle curled it afterwards, which Lauren loved!

After haircuts, Jason and the kids went camping, well, a modified version of camping. We had a camping dinner, roasted s'mores in our backyard, and Jason, Jack and Lauren slept in sleeping bags in the living room. Jack and Lauren were SO excited about their camping adventure all day.Jack's new hair style.

They got their sleeping bags out at 4:00 and practiced sleeping.

Here is our camping dinner...hot dogs, cheetos and grapes. Not so healthy, but I guess that is part of the fun of camping!!

This is how Charlie and I spent a lot of our time while the kiddos were outside. It was a bit cold and Charlie was already a bit grumpy. =)

Games were played with the lantern on before they went to sleep. Finally, at 9:00 it was lights out and time for bed. I didn't think Lauren would last the entire night in her sleeping bag, but she did it!

How do you like Jason's idea of camping?? Nice queen sized blow-up mattress, Jase. =) I can't say too much, though. I would have had the mattress and bedding if I stayed down there.
