We headed to Seaside on Sunday. It wasn't nearly as nice as it was in Portland, but Jason and I knew the kids would have a great time running around on the beach. I don't think either of us thought the kids would have as much fun as they did. We had to drag them off the beach. Jack wanted to stay until is was dark! We left the house before 10 AM and got back at 8:30. It was a great memorable day with our family.
Charlie was a great traveler. He was happy all day, except when we took him on the beach. The wind scared him. He hated it. So, Jason and I took turns with Charlie while the other was on the beach with Jack and Lauren. Obviously, it wasn't ideal, but it worked out just fine.
Playing in the arcade.
Check out Lauren's face in the above picture. I am trying to talk her into riding the tilt-a-whirl. She said it looked scary, but I KNEW she would love it if she gave it a try. So after a while she finally gave in.
She is getting ready for her ride.
Can you tell she is a little nervous? This is right before the ride started. Below is the video I took while they were on the ride. It really whipped them around. (Jason felt sick for several hours after the ride.) But guess who begged us to go on it again?? Yup, Lauren. She loved it! Jack had a great time as well!
