4th of July

We had plans to go to a bbq for the 4th at our friend's house, but Lauren was sick so we stayed home and celebrated by setting off fireworks. Jackson loved it and Lauren was too sick too enjoy them. Next year she will love it.

Jack loved the 4th of July. He thought watching the fireworks and staying up WAY past his bedtime was the best.
The only thing Jackson didn't like was the smoke in his eyes. Can't blame him. Next here we will stay away from the smoke bombs. Lucky us!!!!


Here we are lighting snakes and watching them grow. We went back to the fireworks stand around 8, because we had already ran out of the fireworks and it wasn't even dark.

Can you tell that this picture was taken at 9:30? Only and hour and a half past his bedtime....yikes. We won't be doing that again anytime soon. Jackson finally got down that night at 10 PM. That is the latest he has ever been up.
Below is a little clip of Jackson singing the ABCs and "writing" the letters in the air. He couldn't finish the song, because the lighted sparkler flew off the stick. Oops.



Here is Lauren on the 4th feeling horrible. Little did we know that the following day we would be in the hospital with her. Poor thing~
