I have baseball on my mind tonight. I bought Jack and Lauren a baseball tee today to see how they would do batting the ball. Jack LOVED it and did a good job making contact. Lauren gave it her best try. She was very curious and wanted to do it....we just have to work on actually hitting the ball. I'm not worried, she has lots of time to figure that one out. =)
Jack was so excited to show Lauren how to hit the ball off the tee. When she got up from her nap, he took her down to the tee and held her hand to help her hit the ball. See the ball in the grass? That was her hit and Jack clapped and cheered for her. It was so cute....he is her biggest fan!
Lauren can run now...well, sort of. She tries really hard. Here she is running after a ball that Jack hit. Go Lauren! Here are a few of Jack's hits. I had to make sure I was watching, so I wouldn't get drilled with a ball.
After we were finished with baseball, Lauren went up and sat in the Gator. She likes to sit in it and beep the horn, but if you try to take her for a ride in it she says, "No thank you." I guess it is all about making noise!
Meanwhile, Jack grabbed his tools for a little work in the yard. He likes to be the "boss" and tell me to get to work.
After all that work and play, it was time for a snack. Both loved their bananas!
Check out our new picnic table. Jason built it for the kids! They LOVE it as it is just their size. Here they are eating their first of many meals outside. Lauren also showed us that she is getting to be quite the little monkey. As we were inside putting away dishes tonight, Jason came back outside to see her sitting on top of the table. Nice table manners, Lauren!
Celebraing with a "cheers."
