Not a good morning...

We had a pretty tough morning in the Reding household today. Lauren was awake several times last night and when I changed her early this morning, I found that she had blood in her urine. NOT GOOD! So, it was off to the ED at 7:00 this morning to get some tests done. Poor little Lauren had to get an IV in her arm and a catheter put in. The entire ED heard what she thought of that!!! As I thought, she had a UTI. It had been 10 1/2 months since her last UTI, and I thought we had this all behind us. The intial tests showed that she has an infection, but we won't know too much more until Thurs. morning when the culture results are back. I don't really know what this all means yet and will meet with her specialists for more information in the next few weeks. The only good news was that one of the tests that show kidney function came back in the normal range. I feel so bad for Lauren and hope that this is just a random infection...but who knows.
