Our little storyteller....

Apparently, our little Jack is quite the storyteller. Last Thursday, at preschool, the class learned about kittens. Jack was pretty excited about this and told me all about what they learned. On Sat., Jack was talking to Jason about the kittens as well. Then he preceded to tell Jason that he told his teacher he was getting a kitten at home. Jason had to break the news to Jack that no we weren't getting a kitten, and he shouldn't be telling stories that aren't true. After learning about this, I told Jack that he needed to tell his teacher that he wasn't really getting a kitten. On Mon., we went in to break the news to his teacher. After he told his teacher he wasn't getting a cat, she looked at me with a BIG smile and said, "Oh, well that is only half the story." Oh really I thought.... She told me that Jack said, "In two weeks, I am getting a kitten AND two weeks after that I am going to have a new baby brother or sister." He also added that he was still deciding if he wanted a baby brother or baby sister and that he would tell her when that was decided. So, after a big laugh at his school and confirmation that Jack will not be getting a kitten OR a new sibling, I left with a funny story. You have to love three year olds!
