On Monday, we braved the elements, bundled up and went out to find our Christmas tree. We got two trees this year and the kids had a lot of fun hunting for our perfect trees.

While Jason was cutting down our tree, Jack grabbed a tree branch he found and started "cutting down" his own tree. He was swinging as hard as he could and tried to get his own tree down.
But once he saw our tree fall to the ground, he gave up on "cutting his tree down" and wanted to help Daddy carry our small tree to the car. He told me, "Mom, Dad and I are working REALLY hard right now." He just loved it!
Our tree was a little bit too tall. Oops...I love huge trees that go as high as possible. When we tried to put up one of our trees the top of it scraped our ceiling. So, poor Jason had to go get the saw and take a bit off the bottom.
The kids decorated the entire tree in our family room. Jack even put the tree topper on. Don't worry, I told him 20 times to hold on to the ladder tight. =)
Lauren had a great time as well. She actually did a great job of putting the ornaments up all by herself.
When she saw Jack climb the ladder, Lauren insisted on climbing it as well. I had to tell her no, but found a "better" ladder that was just her size.

And, here is our other tree in the family room. The house looks so festive all decorated!
