Let's go fishing!

We went on our annual fishing excursion with Jane and John yesterday. Once again, Jack and Lauren loved every moment of it! It was a successful trip, with Jack and Lauren each catching a fish. The weather cooperated, and it was a really fun morning! We are excited for Charlie to be able to fish next year!
Peacocks are everywhere on the grounds. Jack thought chasing it was fun.

Then the peacock decided to show his feathers. Beautiful!

Trying to catch his first fish.

Lauren and Grandma

Grandpa and Jack. Jack couldn't believe that Grandpa's hands got so dirty. He told me he couldn't believe that "Grandpa had fish blood on him." Oh, I love my super clean child.

First catch! A crawdad...John used the tail as bait. Jack liked watching Grandpa take his knife out and cut it's tail off.

Lauren cheering on Jack to catch a fish.

There you go Jack! You caught one. See the video below of the catch in action.

Lauren with the fish she caught. Last year, she loved touching the fish and worms...this year the princess was in. She has her hands behind her back because she refused to touch the fish. What happened to my tomgirl?

Waiting for the fish to bite.

After fishing, we played on the playground and Jane made a delicious picnic lunch for everyone!

Picnic!

What an exciting morning! Thanks for a great time Jane and John!!!
