Grandma sent cupcakes over, so Jack and I sang to Lauren and had her blow out her candles after lunch.
Bowling

After bowling, we went to the arcade. Jack thought he was a tough guy on his motorcycle. He actually did a good job playing the game.
I looked over and saw Lauren on this. I guess she needed to get a bit closer.
Lauren loved "Red". She about jumped out of her chair to hug him. She was SO excited to have her picture taken with him!
I wasn't sure how Lauren would react to everyone singing to her. She seemed to like it! That was the expression on her face throughout the entire song.
Presents....
Auntie Amy came over a few days ago to give Lauren her present.
Jack insisted on getting Lauren pots and pans. He knew for weeks that she was getting a play kitchen for her bday. He did such a good job of keeping the secret and loved helping Jason put it together. I was so impressed with Jack...it is hard when someone else is getting gifts and extra attention, but the entire day he was truly excited for her.
Opening the card and gifts from Nana and Papa.
We couldn't forget about getting her a princess.
Her reaction to seeing her new kitchen.
Playing with her presents. I think the presents were a hit with both kiddos. Jack promptly organized the kitchen...he put the food and pots/pans away where they belonged. Then Lauren would "mess it all up" (according to Jack). Really, Lauren was just trying to play with her new toys. I had to laugh...such a classic oldest/youngest kid disagreement. After that problem was resolved, the kids played with the kitchen the rest of the evening. What a fun day we had!!!
