Bee sting

The day finally came...Jack was stung by a bee for the first time. He was outside playing with a neighbor friend and next thing I hear is screaming. I run outside and Jack tells me he was stung. I felt so bad for him....until he told me what happened. His response after I asked him how it happened was, "Well Mom, I was trying to kill bees. I had my plastic golf club and was trying beat the bees with the club. Then if that didn't work, I would squirt them with my water gun." Uh...what??? The sad part is, Jack told me he was killing bees that were coming out of a beehive in our backyard. Apparently, I should not have assumed he was playing pretend! Jason went up to the scene of the crime to find a beehive and about 30-40 bees swarming around. Jack's poor lip was so swollen that evening, but he survived and has learned not to kill bees.

Hahahaaaaaa!!!! I'm so mean for laughing but his face looks so pitiful in those pictures!! And his innocent explanation? Hilarious! I'm so glad he didn't get stung any more than he did, that coulda really sucked... 30-40 mad hornets? Dude. You're one tough slugger, Jack. Hopefully you got more sympathy from your fam than me, who's still giggling. ;)
