Birthday Party

We came back from Eugene and went directly to a bday party for a little girl in Jackson's preschool class. Jack was so excited, but was a little concerned about one thing. He wanted to make sure that Natalie would have "boy toys" to play with and not just "girl stuff." I don't know where he is getting this, but he is obsessed with being a boy and doing boy stuff. It is so funny. Anyway, the main activity at the party was to play dress-up. At first, Jack wasn't so sure about it and stayed AWAY from the princess dresses and skirts. After a while and some digging in the dress-up bin, he did find some things that were boy enough for him! Thank goodness!!!!

Jack and the bday girl!

Dress up time!!!
I guess a construction hat is manly enough for Jack....
Here he is with butterfly wings.
Roaring like a tiger with little princess, Lucy.

And, of course, his favorite matey....a pirate costume.

What a tough looking pirate!!!

Time to open presents...here is Natalie opening the present from Jackson. He couldn't understand why he wasn't allowed to open the present for Natalie and was a bit disappointed. But, once he saw the birthday cake, he was over it!
It's a toss-up who had more fun, Jack or Lauren. She made a lot of friends and loved playing peek-a-boo, crawling on her brother and dancing. This picture is how she looked the entire party. Can you say happy????
